Выставка «Вселенная мастера», приуроченная к юбилею Николая Рериха (1874–1947), открылась в Русском доме в Нью-Дели. Со дня рождения художника и мыслителя прошло полтора столетия.
В экспозицию вошли более 150 репродукций на холсте и фотографий из архива Рерихов. Выставка подготовлена Международным центром Рерихов. Соорганизаторы – Русский дом и посольство России в Индии, Национальный центр общественной дипломатии Шанхайской организации сотрудничества в России, Международный Мемориальный трест Рерихов в Наггаре, Международный союз неправительственных организаций «Ассамблея народов Евразии».
Многогранная деятельность Николая Рериха привлекла внимание Джавахарлала Неру. В 1942 году он приезжает в поместье художника в Гималаях с дочерью Индирой. Будущие индийские руководители проводят несколько дней в беседах с Рерихом, и это общение закладывает основу творческого сотрудничества между народами России и Индии.
The exhibition “The Master’s Universe”, dedicated to the anniversary of Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947), opened at the Russian House in New Delhi. A century and a half have passed since the birth of the artist and thinker.
The exhibition includes more than 150 reproductions on canvas and photographs from the Roerichs’ archive. It was prepared by the International Center of the Roerichs. Co-organizers are the Russian House and the Russian Embassy in India, the National Center for Public Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Russia, the International Roerich Memorial Trust in Naggar, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations «Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly».
The multifaceted activities of Nicholas Roerich attracted the attention of Jawaharlal Nehru. In 1942, he came to the artist’s estate in the Himalayas with his daughter Indira. Future Indian leaders spend several days in conversations with Roerich, and this communication lays the foundation for creative cooperation between the peoples of Russia and India.
